caillou

i'm just a kid who's four
each day i grow some more
i like exploring
i'm caillou
so many things to do
each day is something new
i share them with you
i'm caillou
the world is turning, changing each day!!!
with mommy and daddy, i'm finding my waaaaay
growing up is not so tough
'cept when i've had enough
but there's lots of fun stuff
i'm caillou
caillou
i'm caillou
THAT'S ME!!!
i dedicated this song to my nephews & niece. mmmmuuaaahhhh......
totally agree with caillou on the verse marked red.

being able to see a doctor when you’re sick is quite a priviledge in my country. Not everyone has the resource to pay the huge bill to receive a few minutes of examination. What i don’t understand is, why do we have to wait hours just to see them? Yes yes, there’s so many sick people out there, there are too few doctors to handle them. But still, are their management skill so poor that they can’t look for, design & implement some system to make the waiting time shorter? Or if they are too preoccupied with their expertise, can’t they hire someone competent enough to do it for them?

It’s so bloody easy really:

  1. determine how much time approximately needed for each consultation
  2. ask each of the patient to make an appointment first. Ask them to be prompt or they have to wait for next available time.
  3. Of course nobody can’t predict when and if one’s going to be sick. So, if the patient’s already sick, they can simply be given time when they’re going to see the doctor, how long they’re going to have to wait, and if they can’t/don’t want to, send them to somebody else.

And the doctor can rest between each appointment so each and every patient could get their best attention & suggestions.

I used to go to my mum’s internist and it’s horrible to see those sick patients waiting patiently (maybe that’s where the word patients come from: patience. Hey, i don’t think that refers to patiently waiting to see the doctor!!!!) for hours in not so comfortable waiting room. I mean, they have suffered strokes and some of them are old fer cryn’ out loud!!!! And what did the doctor do? Poke here, poke there, said ‘you’re all fine’, give some resep dokter, tell us when to come back, take our money and ..... NEXT COW PLEASE!!!!

And most of them never tell us what and why are they going to do us. I think every patients are entitled to know because it’s our body they’re going to mess with. Ohkaayyy.... waaayyyy back then, when most of the people are illiterate and don’t have any access to information, it will be hard to explain to them. But now.... helloooo....... ever heard of internet before? Health Books? Health Magazines? Surely most people could understand what they are talking about. I seriously think that they have to give a communication course in every med school here.

Please doc, treat your patients decently, not like some stupid objects.

idealistic

saya sekolah dan kemudian bekerja di sini yang kebetulan terkenal dengan gerakan mahasiswanya (waaay back where student movement matters). Meaning: banyak mahasiswa yang ‘idealis’ di sini. I like them, without those kind the world wouldn’t be interesting. i just dont like those the idealistic-boastful-judgemental ones. Sejak jaman kuliah dulu (duluuuuuu........ sekali, waktu demonstrasi masih dilarang, waktu soeharto masih jadi presiden) orang2 kaya begini bawaannya ngajak gelut wae (duh apa ya terjemahannya? Pitonjokkeun kali ya..... hahahha.... tambah bingung. kadang2 sunda sayah keluar juga and there’s no descriptive language than sundanese!!!!).
Itu loh...... orang2 yang kalo kita ga ikutan demo terus ngatain kita ga peduli nasib bangsa, ga peduli rakyat kecil, borju dll dst. Kemudian ketika kita ikutan demo marah2 lagi, dianggapnya kita Cuma mau ngeceng doang (duh.... coba ya, mau liat apa sih di demo? Orangnya lusuh2 semua.......)

ramblings & adam@home

i hate my-under-construction-office. I like working here, i just dont like the building with all the dusts and dirts and noises and the construction workers eyeing me obscenely when i have to walk passed them. I hate that i have to go down 3 levels, up to next building just to go to the loo. And i’m one of those people who happens to have a fast metabolism rate (= beser. Hehehe.....), so imagine my efforts.
Buh.

It would be perfect if chubbs’s office is nearby so he can give those big bear hugs whenever i need them.

A perfect way to end a long tiring day is bubulibu welcoming chubbs & me in his diaper with his big smile and his loud laugh saying ‘odaaaannggg........... onchiii..........’

Another way to end a bad day is cudlling up with chubbs.

What else?
Oh, i’m into adam@home right now. Hilarious!!!!
this one reminds me of 2 of my favorite guys in the whole wide world. mmmuuaahhh!!!!

wandering mind-information system meeting part II

it's not even started but am bored already. thank god i had coffee with a slightly higher dose earlier.
i think my body's grown accustomed to it.
yay!! it's friday. hope older bro keep his promise to come. kinda miss him.
oops.. they ask me about something. um. huh? what was that again????
it's been too long since i was surrounded by typical-my-campus-student. kinda amusing to see those kinds again, as opposed to students i meet which is those metrosexual-y (well, they are if you compare it with that other kind. heheheh.....) too bad that geeky-boyish one can't make it today. if i had a son, i wish he will grow up like him. you know, bill-gate-ish.
anyways, there are 5 IT guys, 4 wear glasses and all of them geeks. . (not in a bad way, mind you. i prefer geeks than metrosexuals. guys who groom themselves better than i do intimidate me :p). the students on my campus are more trendy these days. they shower regularly, wearing matching shirts and pants, smell nice, look nice, comb their hair etc. it's so refreshing to see those kinds i used to meet when i was a student myself.
ah, 4 o clock! i better excuse myself. todeloo!!!!
